Going camping can be very fun. What could be better than getting the clean fresh air that only natural settings can provide? Going camping can also be very dangerous. Civilization and all of its built in protections will be miles away from your camping spot and animals, insects, and even plants can become dangerous. One should always plan in advance of a camping trip so that they can be fully prepared for any emergencies. This article will go over some of the things you may want to bring along with you on your camping trip.

The first considerations should be shelter, food, and clothing. Check the forecast before you head out, but don’t take it for granted that the weather will be true to the forecast. For instance, bring rain gear even if the forecast is calling for sun. In the event that the weather does change, you’ll be prepared for it. Also bring enough food and water to last you your entire trip plus three days. If you’ll be in an area with water, you’ll only need to bring something to purify it with.

Night vision goggles are an often overlooked camping companion, but can be very useful. Its always a good idea to bring a pair along with you in case you are attacked by nocturnal animals. With the ability to view your surroundings, you’ll be better equipped to deal with an attack. A strong bottle of bear spray will keep most unfriendly animals at bay.

Bug sprays can help keep the bugs at bay, but make sure to cover up at night with mosquito netting or a good tent. Sleeping is much better when bugs are not biting you. Be sure to bring some anti itch cream just in case some bugs get through your defenses.

Plants can be avoided by educating yourself on the ones to stay away from. There are many books that will tell you when, where, and how to avoid poisonous plants. You wouldn’t want a small plant to ruin your camping trip, would you?

Camping gear can be purchased over the world wide web. Night vision Usa is a great place to pick up some night vision equipment. Tents, back packs, and water purification tablets can be bought from large camping stores. You can find clothing at hunting stores or even your local K-Mart. Be safe and have fun and you’ll have plenty of camping trips to look forward to.

Are yopu thinking of going camping?  If you do, you may have been told to examine the weather before you leave for your trip, as well as before you even start packing for your next camping trip. While checking the weatther seems obvious alot of people overlook this. This tragic mistake can ruin your trip and even put your life in jeapordy.

Anytime you plan a new trip the weather should play a major part in your decidion making. For instance, if the weather is forecasted to be cold, rainy, or windy, you may not even want to go. If you do have other options, this is something to at least take into consideration.

In addition to the clothes that you need to pack, the weather can also have an impact on the camping supplies and camping equipment that you need to bring as well. A great example is extreme heat, you may need to bring appropriate clothing and sunscreen. When you look at it from that aspect, the weather cannot only impact how you plan, but also how you shop for camping supplies and camping equipment as well.

Climate can also alter which activities you can enjoy. Severe rain may limit or prohibit things like hiking or bicycling.  Turning the weather to your advantage, like turning cycling into skiing you can have lots of fun. Knowing the weather in advance can allow you to prepare for any activity you may enjoy.

When checking the weather, you will find that you have a number of different options.  Radio can be a real asset here, it can allow for two way communication and weather monitoring. A good choice for this is a hand held cb radio as it provides excellent versatility. Putting a CB Base Station in your main traveling vehicle is also a good idea. The hand held cb radio is a nice compliment to this as it can be taken into the field.

Planning for safety needs is the first thing you should always do before any adventure. We recommend making a safety checklist and putting someone in charge of safety items specifically

One of the greatest way to have joy and know more about the nature and get in closer touch with our environment is the backpacker or wilderness camp. Teens, children and adults can learn so much and enjoy great experiences out in the wild. Therapeutic benefits are recognized for many wilderness programs as they approach depression, disruptive behavior and nervous breakdown very efficiently. Anyone interested in enrolling on a wilderness camp, should shop around and compare the offers for different locations nationwide.

Lots of preparations have to be made for a wilderness camp. You can learn some basic things on the Internet, but the official camp site should also provide advice and must-have camp items like backpacking tents and backpacking food. If you need a tent, pack a quality weatherproof one that sets up easily and rapidly and has insect flaps. Another thing you need to pack is the sleeping pad, a thin light foam material that keeps cold away and helps you sleep comfortably.

Find out something more about the whereabouts of the wilderness camp, so that you know what clothes and extra equipment to bring. A light but warm sleeping bag for warm to average temperatures and a thicker sleeping bag for superior insulation if the nights are known to be cold. Other gear items to include in the backpack are cooking utensils, iodine or bleach tablets to make water drinkable or some water supplies if you can carry the bottles to the destination.

A wilderness camp can offer thrilling experiences to the participants, no matter the age. Children benefit so much from being in the wild. They learn how to cooperate and live in the community, how to respect and protect the environment, how to stay connected and be joyful, and how to live a good life ultimately. A wilderness camp will take participants somewhere in the woods or deep in the mountains, providing a different perspective on life than it is viewed with the urban eye. It makes a great change from urban existence to go on a wilderness camp whether with family or in an organize form.

Check the specifics of a wilderness camp before enrolling you children for one. The teen or child needs to perceive the experience as positive and enriching. Normally, open communication between students and staff, the group-oriented activities and assertiveness make wilderness programs a great chance to a different type of education.

Real Estate When selecting food for camping, you have one main advantage over backpackers, and that is that you will have more space. So therefore you have more options open to you, when planning your trip. There are two trains of thought when planning meals for a camping trip, and they are, to cook or not to cook!

juegos If you wanted some easy good food for camping without having to cook, then you might want to go down the dehydrated/freeze dried meal route. There are companies (such as Mountain House) who produce these meals and can be ordered online. They offer a wide variety of choice to the consumer from main courses to desserts that are very calorie controlled, nutritious, and filling at the same time. So these would fit the bill perfectly. The downside is that they are quite expensive to buy and if you were planning a lengthy trip, then you would probably need to take out a small mortgage to purchase the food.

real estate investing Another alternative for not cooking when camping are MRE´s (meals ready to eat) these are rations pioneered by the American Army, and can be purchased at most Army Surplus Stores. They consist of a case of 12 meals, (one for each day containing main meal and dessert). They come with their own heating source and spoon with each meal. They are literally “ready to eat” and are reasonably cheap to buy. The downsides are that they come in cans, so they are quite bulky to carry, and there isn’t a great deal of choice. However there are vegetarian options available.

Cycling is really good from Hollands Wood – if you haven’t brought your own bike you can easily hire one from the 2 great cycle shops in Brockenhurst. You can set off on flat, easy to cycle routes.

Horse riding is also available in Brockenhurst – there are at least two riding stables I can recommend – riding out on the New Forest is a wonderful way to see the forest in all its beauty – and the animals are more likely to come closer to you when you are on horseback.

Fishing can be done at Hatchet Pond and isn’t far – you can combine it with a family picnic. Fishing for under 17’s can be found at Janesmoor Pond Stoney Cross – but an adult must be present.

Think of bringing items like pasta, and pulses. They will keep indefinitely and will not spoil, and are also versatile. Pulses make great additions to “one pot stews”, and pasta is great with a tomato sauce. Foil meals make great camping fayre because you can just place all ingredients like chicken or fish and top with fresh vegetables in a piece of tin foil, wrap it up and put it in the embers for approximately 20 mins or until done, Eureka!, an instant meal. Plan the night before what you are cooking and prep as much as you can. That way you will not have to start cooking from scratch when you have completed a hard day’s activities.

Personally I would prefer to cook, as in the end it would work out cheaper, and you know you are getting a healthy balanced meal and something that you enjoy as well. Yes it’s more work, but if you get your planning right, it really is no big deal You can be published without charge. You can to republish this article in your website or blog. There are a variety of sleeping bags on the market. The type that you choose should be dependent on the climate where it will be used and your own personal preferences. Purchasing a sleeping bag is similar to buying a new mattress – you should consider the size, shape, type of fabric, and amount of free space provided. As for the influence of the weather, if it is dry and warm you may only need a fleece bag or “bed-roll”, whereas colder climates dictate the need for a warm, insulated bag.

There are two basic shapes of sleeping bags – mummy and rectangular. However, many bags are sold that are slight variations of these two. The most widely used sleeping bag is the rectangular bag. It is the oldest design, offering plenty of room with a cozy feeling , even for your feet. Rectangular bags can also be multi-functional. For instance, unzip the bag on a warm night and it can be utilized as a comforter. Some bags also allow the user to zip two bags together for a larger double-wide bag.

The mummy sleeping bag functions much like it sounds. It is a more of a recent design that encompasses the sleeper much tighter than the rectangular bag. The premise is to use much less fabric and material to produce a greater amount of heat. The lack of material (and weight) comes in handy if backpacking for long distances. A mummy bag is best suited for colder climates. If you will be camping in temperatures below 40 degrees, this bag is the best choice.

Most sleeping bags come in one of three sizes. So choose whichever size that will provide the most comfort. The first size, is the child or junior size, which is perfect for smaller children. The next size up, is standard. Most adults fit in it comfortably, but it can also be used for children if you want a sleeping bag that will last longer. The third size is extra long which is generally used by individuals that are six feet or taller. But it can also be used by anyone who likes the idea of having a little extra room in their sleeping bag.

Higher quality sleeping bags were once exclusively insulated with prime goose down. However, down is not easy to clean and the cost has become prohibitive to include it on standard camping bags. Modern technology has afforded the development of a synthetic fiber to insulate sleeping bags. These fibers are just as effective (if not more so) for retaining warmth, cost much less, and can be laundered without difficulty. However, highly specialized mountaineering bags still use down in order to balance the requirements of an extremely light bag that can handle intensely cold and dry climates.

Even if you’ve been camping with your parents, if you’ve never been camping alone, there are afew pointers you should know.

Although it may seem like it is frivolous, make sure to check all of your equipment and your tent first. In the yard, about a week before you leave, set up the tent in the back yard. This will help you ensure that all of the parts for the tent are there so you can properly assemble it. Be sure to check for holes, rain will come into holes, especially ones on the roof or floor.

Make sure there is not a hole in the inflatable mattress if you are bringing one, whether you have an air mattress or not be sure to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. There is nothing worse than going to bed nice and comfortable and waking up a few hours later with a flat mattress and the hard ground beneath you. In case of a temperature drop at night, be sure to pack an extra blanket.

Remember everything you need to make a meal if you plan on cooking at the campsite. It is a good idea to bring cutlery, one or two small pots and a grid to place on the fire in case of barbecuing. Starting a fire every time you want coffee is inconvienant, you should bring a small gas cooker. Consider refilling the gas before you leave. You will also need cleaning materials to wash and dry the dishes.

Your non perishable foods should be tightly sealed and unopened to avoid all spills. Donít forget condiments and spices, often the las thing you think of packing. To avoid getting dry food wet, keep liquids in platic bags. Also try to keep all of your food in one general container so you can use it as a pantry during your camping trip. Perishable foods should be kept at a minimum, and packed last, buy any perishable foods you need as you go along.

Toiletries are not provided, pack toilet paper, and consider bringing a few different sizes of bath plugs, incase one isnt provided. If there is a community shower, you should cring plastic or rubber flip flops to wear while showering. A small bag or basket can help keep all of your belongings together while heading to the shower.

You can go to a local store and purchase some of the things you will need, unless you are at a completely remote campsite. Good preparation means you can relax once you arrive, soak up nature and relish the accomplishment of a well organised camping trip.

Not so long ago we went on a camping trip from Midlands to Isle Of Wight. 12 of us including me were unsure on which cars we should take for this trip. At first we were planning on taking three of our personal cars but then we decided to take two and hire one from the local 4×4 leasing company so that we can fit all our camping gear. We searched online and read some used car reviews on which cars we should be taking and then we decided we should go with one truck or SUV for our camping and BBQ equipments.

We hired the 3 ltr Navara automatic, and it wasn’t as expensive as we thought it would be but it did drink a lot of petrol. Though I have to say it is a fantastic car to drive, it has massive amount of room to fit your luggage including your campaign gear, chairs, bbq equipments and we even took some woods for some fire in the beach and because you are going on a long drive automatic cars are always relaxing.

After reading reviews and few time spent on research we contacted the local used cars hire company for a quote. They quoted us for the time we wanted to hire the car for and when we saw the quote we all were shocked to see how cheap it was to hire this 4×4. We had a good drive till we got to M25 where we got stuck in traffic, I was driving the Nissan and two of my other friends were on BMW M3 and Audi R8. We had to catch a ferry from Portsmouth at 4:30pm and as soon as we hit M25 after picking few friends from London it wasn’t looking good until I turn on the navigation system of the Navara, it showed us a different route through M3 but also showed us how much traffic that route had, it was incredible. It was a brilliant navigation. If only the M3 or even the R8 had it. It was not only the navigation system that impressed me, it was the speed, the power and the performance of the 4×4 which impressed all of us.
